Today’s song of the day comes to you straight from indie pop artist Dev’s as of yet untitled debut album. “Bass Down Low” features frequent collaborators The Cataracs - the duo is probably best known for linking up on one of the biggest dance anthems of 2010 in their smash hit “Like A G6”. The chemistry between these two artists is near-perfect, and every collaboration of theirs results in a sonically superior successor - and this song is no exception. The track features a booming bassline, as you might expect, with some powerful synths backing it. Expect this one to be all over the radio whenever it sees an official release - Dev and company are poised to make some big moves in 2011. Until then…enjoy!
This Friday, our track of the day comes to you courtesy of the Far East Movement (with some additional help from Keri Hilson). The “Like A G6” hitmakers are coming out with their major-label debut, Free Wired, later this year and this track is rumored to be the third single off the album. FEM has historically done an outstanding job of synthesizing the worlds of dance, techno, and pop / hip-hop - and this track is no exception. Enjoy!
For this Fresh Friday in music, we’ve got a brand-new remix to the Cataracs’ new record “Club Love”. The “Like a G6” hitmakers are busy in the studio recording and finishing up their debut album, and this is just one of the first tastes of it. A download link for the track, as well as a recap of last night’s show will be up soon! Enjoy.
